Anyone who has ever processed images in OSX using Intel graphics, whether they know it or not, has had that amply demonstrated.

Recent Intel graphics will be only slightly less efficient, if at all, then a low to medium end AMD or NVidia GPU. The GPU is not that important unless you also plan to game. Going up the food chain to i7 and 16gb RAM is better. The minimum specs are an i5 processor and 8 gb of RAM.

Finally, you could search the Adobe website & forums & that for any software that you want to use, as they all offer at least "minimum" hardware suggestions, but some, especially the forums offer more info.īasically get as fast a processor as you can afford, 16 GB RAM minimum & SSD drives. This question gets asked A LOT & so has been answered with many suggestions already. As well you could do a Google Search for websites such as F-Stoppers & Imaging News Resources, Peta Pixe, Luminous Landscape & others. I recently posted a link to a Wire Cutter article on Laptops which will have relevant info.

As well, there are discussions here on Monitors & Color Management that will also be relevant & need to be considered. The retouching forum will also have info for you. Also search the forum for Laptop info as the specs will be useful / similar & that question gets asked almost daily. A search of this forum turned up quite a few previous threads that should give you lots of info to consider.
